![]() ![]() ![]() Most of the tools from iMovie are present in Rush, and several more powerful features have made their way from the desktop. If you’ve used iMovie on an iPhone or iPad before, Premiere Rush on iOS won’t feel alien. This makes creating multiple files for social media platforms easy. Speaking of aspect ratios, the app lets you easily change between a portrait, landscape, or square project at any time. Landscape is supported, but mostly reserved for playback. Premiere Rush works primarily in portrait mode, so this is how you’ll edit your video. When your clips are finished importing, a fully-populated timeline will appear. Tip: you can select items in any order you choose, and they will be added to your timeline in the same order. ![]() Upon opening Premiere Rush, I was prompted to add media to my project, and selected everything in my favorites album. Premiere Rush works almost identically on both my Mac and iPhone by syncing files and metadata with Creative Cloud, so I figured I could pick up where I left off later.Īfter shooting my clips, I reviewed them in the Photos app and favorited my best shots. My clips were shot over roughly a 45 minute period, and the majority of the edit was completed during my bus ride back to the convention center from the art walk. It was the perfect place to get some great video clips and photos.įor my project, I attempted to realistically portray the time crunch many online video producers face on a daily basis. The city’s Arts District has become a vibrant hotspot for the creative community and is filled with immersive painted murals. To put Premiere Rush to the test, I attended an Art Walk at this year’s Adobe MAX conference held in conjunction with Adobe and Cartwheel Art of downtown Los Angeles. We’ve detailed the announcement in a separate post here, but I’ve had some hands-on time with the new software over the past several days to see how it performs. You can also feather (smooth or blur the edges of your video) your clip. You can, for instance, position your clips, change their height, width, or opacity, and crop your clips using transform controls. Premiere Rush CC features colour presets that you can apply to clips to change the video's overall look and feel, and there's other tools available for refining the colour further. For more information, see Adobe's guide on how to add and edit audio. Premiere Rush CC also comes with 10 royalty-free soundtracks that you can import and use in your video. You can import music and audio clips, or you can record voiceovers directly into your timeline. Add and edit titles, transition graphics, and overlays.You can further add animated motion graphics, with the ability to move, scale, and rotate title and graphic templates directly on the Preview monitor. You can even customise the font, font style, font size, and colour. You can also add transitions, as well as text overlays. ![]() Anyway, once you've got your video clips ready to go in the Premiere Rush CC app, you can then edit and refine by cutting out clips, splitting cups, trimming clips, and shuffling scenes. You'll have access to the same editing capabilities across your iOS and desktop devices, too. You can edit videos on your mobile device, or switch over to Premiere Rush CC on your desktop, with seamless syncing.
